Mission in Russia

The Kremlin Device - Chris Ryan

The story is not bad, but there is not really that good either.

Problem is that the story is more like a regular episode of Strike Back with a lot of running around, being followed, being captured while on a mission.

That's not a bad thing in itself. But there isn't much tension, or plot twist, or character development.

The part on the main character,  Geordie Sharp is likeable.  The part of the jump is pretty awesome. And his own internal moral struggle in the mission is the best part of the story. So it is not just a mission. It is people at their job doing what they can without losing their moral compass.

That make it a good story.

4 stars.
