Raising Steam is about steam engine train

Raising Steam - Terry Pratchett

Terry Pratchett has another winner.

I love the way Terry use a common place item, be it money or train, to make a great story.

Now, Dick had invented an engine. What would happen to it and how it is connect to business, con, and government.

That is the frame of the story. What's happening in between is the fun part of it would turn for the better or worst for the inventors as there are people who are against progress, and some want to take advantage of it. What is the train going depend on how the rail would be constructed, and how to deal with people affected by the plan.

All good so far.

The story goes into more than just train.

This is about a tribe, that are against advancing of technology. So much so that they become terrorists. And this tribe made it so bad that female were afraid to come out with their gender.

Great story.
