I got this discussion with a friend online about why people are disgusted by this movie.
She thought it is good to have women sexual fantasy made into porn for women. I see it as a glorified abusive relationship disguised as romance.
Why women don't see this as disgusting? I don't know. As I really could stomach this crap book for long. This review could quote chapter and presented a picture why this is anti-woman, anti-feminist.
