Bosch meeting Mickey Haller

The Brass Verdict - Michael Connelly

This is my first lawyer novel I read from Michael Connelly.

So far so good. It got Bosch in it and that's the reason I bought it.

Bosch is a much easier story to imagine now that I watched 2 seasons of the TV shows. Michael is so right to get back the copyright so that he could produce this. The story is great and the writer would know how a character would behave.

Good story. Enjoying it. Not as much as Bosch story but it would do.

A lawyer got killed and Mickey is the replacement lawyer. Bosch is the one who is investigating the killing.

So their path crossed.

Strange that my loyalty is to Bosch. The added goodie is to see Bosch through the eyes of Mickey that actually through the thoughts of Michael.

The court drama part is okay but not great. I have guessed much earlier what is the magic bullet and got a bit impatient on the confirmation.

Is Mickey really at risk? Well, I found out later in the book but the sense of danger is not there. Mickey should have done a bit more to get the confident that Bosch is going to have his back.

Overall a fine read. And got to know a bit of a backstory of Bosch in the process.
