The Wishing Spell is fairy story in modern style

The Wishing Spell - Chris Colfer, Brandon Dorman

The story is simple but nice. It goes through some of our favorites fairy tales and let them interact with today's children. From the start, you would know that the evil queen would turn out either as an abused child, or have some new makeup back story that make her less evil. The running around is more like a children version of video games. You could run around and be scared, but no real harm would come to you as you would surely go to the next level. Some of the "levels" are a bit too superficial. But still within acceptable range that doesn't bring out much complain. It is a fast read. Children would like it, and adult might like it because it is written by Chris.
