Jack is now writing for an online magazine Fair Warning, a consumers watchdog type of machine that exposed the wrong doing of companies and protect the public interest.
He is called on the police again when a woman was killed. This woman name Christine when out of a date with Jack a year ago. He didn't recognized the name at first as he knew her as Tina.
Now he is a person of interest for the police because the victim's friend told the police that she was cyber stalked by a creep who she had met before. Jack knowing his own innocence offer his DNA to clear his name.
He then interviewed and search for more information on Christine. She was young and has recently got in-touch with long lost family through genetic matching. She used the service of GT23, a genetic matching services that only cost 23 dollars.
That got Jack interested. The victim was found and she broken her neck internally, with a term AOD, atlanto-occipital dislocation. He then posted on a coroner forum and asked if anyone seen suspicious cases like that.
By linking the murders to the genetic matching services, he found out that the genetic sequencing services have no regulatory body at all. It is a self-regulating service subject to abuse. He pitched this to Myron his editor and got the go ahead to write this piece focusing of genetic sequencing services.
He also got Rachel involved. They had broken up because Jack mistake. He put his piece before the interest of Rachel. Now Rachel is working as a private investigator doing background check.
Getting her involved is a good move. She still know people in the FBI and they could help the case. The local police had mistreated Jack when he tried to raise alarm.
The investigation lead to Incel group, (Involuntary Celibate) sexist men who think they are entitled to have sex with women. These are women haters. One of these jerk was a geneticist who had bought genetic information from GT23, and resold the information to other Incel men on women who had addictive behavior gene labelled as Dirty4.
These sexists are targeting women and preying on them. One of them is the killer.
Really good book. The story flow nicely and fast. A lot of tension and action that flow naturally. Not a lot of surprised plot twists but really good discovery on how we offer our genetic and social information that could be misused on the web.
Excellent work. Highly recommended.
Lord Ballister Blackheart is a villain and Nimona want to be his side-kick. Being a shape-shiftier would be helpful.
They have fun together and plotting plan to making chaos.
Sir Ambrosius Goldenloin was supposed to be the good guy, working for the institute. He was a friend of Ballister before he fired a weapon and wounding him and make him lost his right arm.
The story is rich and unexpected. The graphic is wonderful and it is such fine work that I read the whole thing in one setting. I want more.
Highly recommended.

Artemis is 12 yr old and want to kidnap a fairy for ransom.
Holly is a fairy, equip with powered-wings for patrol. There are mud people (humans) who live in the above world.
It is just by chance that Holly met Artemis and was captured for ransom. Artemis want fairy gold to re-start the family empire. His father is missing and his mother is fallen to madness. There is no telling what's going through his mind. Artemis was aided by loyal body guard Butler and his sister.
Once the readers get past there is fairy and magic in the below world, the story goes like a die-hard movie, with master mind villain having hostage for ransom, and the team of fairy who want to save the hostage and punished the villain.
It is hard to make a 12 yr old a villain. No wonder this series is so popular. It is a fun read and the story move very fast with both sides taking actions and it seems wild and fun.
Might read the next one. It is pretty good.
Jack is now working for an online publication Fair Warning, a consumer watchdog magazine exposing the corrupted selling tactics and other factors that affect the general public.
Jack got a visit from the police asking if he has an encounter with a woman. He didn't at first because he knew her by another name, Tina. Christine was found dead and Jack was the suspect as her stalker. To clear his name, Jack give his DNA sample.
The next bit is that Jack want to find more about this murder. Under his investigation, he found 3 more victims who shared a commonality, they have used the same genetic sequencing service, a budget one that only cost 23 USD. This has something to do with the company or how they have sold genetic data to anyone who are willing to pay them.
This is getting interesting. Getting Rachel involved somehow also make it more human.

David met this older guy Richard who was shot in his office by his formal coworker. Now he was told that he has to catch a guy who is selling poison gas for terrorist purpose.
Come on.
How could David not verify that with his agency? And rely on a person he just met? He was attack by thugs and of course run around in circle.
It is so obvious that he should not have trusted the old guy. Should have got allies in the team as it is always the team that one could trust when one doing dangerous field work.
The action part is okay. I like the thinking back in training part too. Too bad that it is not that logical that David didn't realize the betray.
This is the second in the series.
David Trevellyan is a British Navy intelligent agent working on a job. He was just about to head home to London when he found a dead body in an ally. A bump was killed and he was just about to find out more about this when the NYPD arrived. So he complied and then arrested as a suspect.
Someone tried to frame him for the killing. Then the FBI got involved and the situation turned serious. Someone had called 911 and gave his description. The FBI know believe that he was involved and seek for his records.
His information was on the FBI hands and his boss refused to assist him. So he forced to find out who is the killer by himself.
Tanya is the British Consulate and the messenger for bad news.
Now there was a weird villain Lesley who had treated his employees really badly. That is the half to one star deducted for making this not making sense that how people worked for them are so loyal. Another not making sense one is a careless mistake made by David earlier in the book.
So half to one star was deducted for this mistake.
The rest is like an action packed book. The kind of books that would take my mind off things that giving anxiety.
Very likely to read the series.

Funny things about cats.
Quite funny. As I'm not really a cat person, not really for me.
Still give me some laughs on how the cat would be so selfish and picky eater and other tales I heard from friends who have cats.
Much more a dog person even when I don't have dog. Much easier to understand. And of course, I like the attention and the affection.
All good and well.
Jack is alive. Alex thought she died in the last book but now we found out she survived and they got a long weekend together. Alex is going back to school and be a regular boy again.
So that is what we thought that is good for him.
Mrs Jones is not a good person. She is now having problem with the struggling for power. Plus there was a murder of an operative by two teenage assassins.
Oh no. They are not serious in trying to get Alex involved in such dangerous task again. But of course Mrs Jones is desperate. The intelligent gathered on the two assassins given her much stress as one of them is her daughter.
Now Alex was being sent to jail with the teenage assassin, pretended to be Julius.
What he found out is weird. The assassin was recruited into a religious cult that has very distorted view on life. They were all stolen children isolated from the rest of the world, feeding lies since childhood. This is very similar to be brought up Catholic or Baptist, or Muslim. As they have no other way to understand the world, whatever being fed to them was regarded as truth.
Of course, Alex has a breakthrough with the help of a small toy that the young assassin Freddy own when he was five. He no longer has a name and was given a number. Very much like Hitman 47.
Alex need to discover their mission and stop them on execute the terrorist attack in London.

Alex Rider going back to school after his last mission for MI6.
I need to get a physical book. I was stuck at home with the social distancing and work from home. And I have this audio book because I couldn't find this in the local book store.
Regret. I cannot concentrate on this. I know I missed bits and pieces and cannot get the story in my head like I used to when I read the actual words.
Overall, still a good book. Lot of actions. It help to confirm that I need physical copy of book even when I got the audio version.
4 stars. Might get a second chance when my local book store stock up books again.
Alex when to the south of France with Sabrina and met Yassen. Alex knew nothing good when he was there and followed him.
In the process, he met the rich pop singer Damian Cray, en ego maniac who is actually a psychopath.
Alex when to the opening of a new game and played it. He has met Cray and found his creepy and have such an ego that he would cheat to get his way.
He couldn't leave it alone so he went to the MI6. No one believed him. Alex shared his identity with Sabrina and MI6 betrayed him by making him out to be a liar.
So he has to go at this alone. Jack believed him and they both go to find out what Cray evil plan.
In the meantime, Sabrina's father, a journalist was hurt by a terrorist attack. It was Cray. Sabrina's father was working on a story linking it to Cray and got hurt.
So Alex went into the compound to see for himself. He passed the gate, he also got some evidence that might spoil Cray plan.
A fast read with Alex Rider doing a lot of spying stuff. He was on his bike that was given to him with gadgets. Quite a lot of action and running around. The bad guy is obviously the bad guy.
The only surprise is how reluctant Yassen is unwilling to hurt Alex.
Sabrina is quite nice as an addition to the story. Only Jack knew about what Alex do and now Sabrina got involved, Alex is not so alone.
Fast read. Highly recommended.
Danny Black was on a mission to hunt two known terrorists.
The mission go sideways and Black is now running for his life.
There is some really bad persons with guns. And now he have to find help from a doctor so that he could discover the truth and complete his mission.
I'm a fan of the Strike Back series. That lead me to read the books and probably why I like them so much. They are very straight forward in the way that the lead is usually in trouble because of politics or someone getting too greedy. And Danny Black is the good guy who would get into the middle of the problem and sort things out, with guns and explosives.
Fun read. Really like it. Just what I need to get me to forget for a few hours the mess in the world and in the city.
Jack Harker is not having a good day in the war zone.
The enemy is fierce and he is lucky if he could get out alive.
He did more than that.
He discovered by accident on the terrorist attack on the home front.
His ex-wife is also on the same case as it is linked to kidnapping of drug addicts to be used as sex slaves. One of the girl is their daughter Lily.
Load of actions and plots. A bit outrageous at time. The team is obviously not working good together and didn't trust each other enough to follow through with the intelligent gathered.
Very good read. Don't want to spoil the fun of reading.
Read more like a B+ action movie with spill, guns and terrorist plots.
